VMMA Official Visit to Jonadab Lodge No. 771

The VMMA was invited by the W.M. Bro. John Seager to visit Jonadab Lodge on Friday 3rd September to join with him on his last night and to give a Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Presentation in the south.
It was not a pleasant evening at all, cold and very windy with the prediction of heavy rain and storms by Chris still turned out on his motorcycle, their is always one!!!!!
The following VMMA members turned out for the visit Bob Nicholls, David Wells, Ian Goddard, David Cash and Chris Wells not bad for such a terrible evening weather wise and that we have had a good number of official visitation in recent months.

The work for the evening was the Initiation of Mr Mark Acica into Jonadab Lodge No. 771 carried out by a good number of MM's.
In recent months while the VMMA has been visiting lodges it has been evident that there is an increase in interest in the craft by young men for many of our visitations have been on evenings of initiation.
Retiring to the south W.M. Bro. John Seager announced that the proceeds to this evenings raffle and auction of two books will be donated to the VMMA "Breathless" Ride fundraiser.

It was tremendous to meet with Alan Francis who is the DC at Jonadab Lodge, Alan a number of years ago had a particular meeting with a young lady from CanTeen who was taken on a motorcycle to G.L. at Albert Street to thank Freemasons Victoria for their support of CanTeen, Alan was the representative at the time at G.L. and the young lady presented Alan with her Bandana with Alan still treasures, unfortunately the young lady passed away a week later.

During the evening after the ladies joined with us in the south Alan invited Chris to commence the VMMA Cystic Fibrosis Awareness presentation which included basic facts that many are not aware of which then led into specific real life facts relating to Kaiser Wehbe at double lung recipient twice around, Chris then invited the VMMA President David Cash to speak specifically about the actual "Breathless" 8 day Awareness and Fundraising ride traveling some 3000 klm's plus around Victoria.
Following the VMMA presentation it was time for W.M. Bro. John Seager and his wife Suzanne to take to the floor for a very informative overview given by Ray Sutton of John and Suzanne's work within the lodge.

The evening concluded with the donation of the evening proceeds to the "Breathless" Ride a grand total of $300, thank you very much brethren of Jonadab Lodge for your support of this worthily community based organisation Cystic Fibrosis Victoria Inc.
Finally it was time to depart for home, yes by this time it was raining and Chris did get wet.
