VMMA Official Visit to Cosmopolitan Lodge No. 96 at Queenscliff
Wednesday 8th April 2009
The VMMA Official visit Cosmopolitan Lodge No. 96 at Queenscliff was organised by Brian Sanders to update them of the final outcome of the CFV "Breathless" 8 Day Ride along with thanking Cosmopolitan Lodge No. 96 and the Queenscliff Bowling club along with other individuals from the local area for assisting with the event.
The Queenscliff Masonic Centre drive way was full of motorcycles.
Well there was planned a group ride down to Queenscliff from the Point Cook turn off on the M1, here comes all the excuses about the heavy traffic and while we were not ready to depart at 6.00 pm in a group.
We had 2 groups departing at different times from Point Cook and then to top that off Chris ended up in the other group by the time he got to Geelong.
One of the comments by Ian Henry in the south was that we have 2 groups of visitors here tonight, Woody being in fine form suggested that was like a group ride planned by Chris!!!!

Good news we all arrived at Queenscliff Masonic Centre and then to be joined with other VMMA members who made their own separate way to Queenscliff.
VMMA members in attendance were Keith, Dean, Bob, David Hall, Woody, David Kent, David Cash, Chris and Bob a local member.
We entered the lodge with 2 WM's, 4 PM's and 2 MM's and were made extremely welcome by the WM Bro. Tolley and his brethren, work for the evening was a demonstration of the second degree with the ritual being very well presented by members of the lodge.

Finally retiring to the south the evening progressed quickly and within no time Dean was invited to the floor by WM Bro. Tolley to commence the VMMA presentation relating to the "Breathless" 8 Day Ride, Chris was then invited to expand on the event but firstly gave the hard core facts in relation to Cystic Fibrosis in Australia and that there is NO CURE unlike some cancers, our presentation concluded with direct thanks of appreciation to Cosmopolitan Lodge No. 96, Queenscliff Bowling club along with other individuals from the local area for assisting with the event.
Chris spoke specifically about the CFV "Breathless Ride" that raise $45,000, this presentation included some cold hard facts relating to Cystic Fibrosis.
Just as we thought it was time to round up the south the WM Bro. Tolley invited Dean to the floor and presented him with a donation of $100 from the Cosmopolitan Lodge to be deposited into the VMMA Charity Fund.
WM Bro. Alan Tolley invited dean to the floor at the conclusion of the evening and presented a donation of $100 for the use of the VMMA Charity Fund.
Time was now starting to sneak along and at around 11.30 pm will all rode off for home, YES in a group that split up on the approach to Melbourne.
