VMMA Official Visit to The Brighton District Lodge No. 37
Tuesday 10th March 2009
The VMMA was invited to attend the regular meeting of The Brighton District Lodge No. 37 on Tuesday 10th March by W. Bro. Keith Fulstow, WM (VMMA member) to update the brethren of recent and future events.
Brian, Vera, Richo and Chris represented the VMMA on the evening which included a Wine Tasting evening hosted by Tony of Wine Larder.
Three VMMA members L to R: Richo, Brian and Vera at Brighton District Lodge.
The lodge tyled as stated promptly at 7.30 p.m. and you guessed it we were not in the lodge when it tyled so we along with a number of other visitors did not enter the lodge room for the opening. The of lodge was very quickly opened and closed so that the south activities could commence on time at 8.00 pm with the many guests who had turned out for the evening.
It must have been very satisfying for Keith to see so many guests in the south for the wining tasting and VMMA update of our recent activities and those coming up in the near future.
The wine tasting was progressive with the meal with Tony from Wine Larder giving a full explanation of each of the wine's characteristics and how they have been developed by each of the Wineries in Victoria and South Australia.

Very good turn out in the South for Wine Tasting and VMMA presentation. No problems with finding a glass or two!!!!!
Keith invited Chris to address those in the south with recently and future planned VMMA activities both within the general community and freemasonry Victoria. Chris spoke of the 8 day "Breathless" Ride held last November that raised a sum of $45,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Victoria but most importantly raised the awareness of CF throughout Victoria.
The presentation included factual information of CF in Australia and how the "Breathless" Ride had received positive feedback from those in the audiences throughout Victoria during the ride and it was surprising how many people came and spoke of how CF has touched their families not necessary direct family but through the family connections.
Chris spoke of Keith's attendance to see us off from Grand Lodge on day 1 of the "Breathless" Ride and some how was still with us when we rode into Stawell that evening.
During the evening the host Tony from the Wine Larder introduced each of the wines prior to tasting.
Once again VMMA members in attendance managed to walk away with 4 prizes and The Brighton District Lodge No. 37 made a donation to the VMMA charity fund.
Keith has been a regular supporter of the VMMA and we thank him and The Brighton District Lodge brethren for their continued interest in our involvement within the community.
