VMMA Official Visit to Lodge of Balnarring Lodge No. 850
Friday 10th July 2009
Reported by David Cash
It was the Lodge of Balnarring’s first meeting in their newly renovated hall. It has been 12 months since they moved to their temporary residence at the Baxter Masonic Centre while renovations were taking place.
Unfortunately, it was a cold night and an official visit to Mansfield Lodge on Wednesday night may explain why there were 2 VMMA members in attendance, those being Casper and myself.
As usual Balnarring made us very welcome as this Lodge has had a long association with the VMMA. With the meetings being held in the local Community Hall, it is always interesting to see the Lodge packed up and put away until the next month’s meeting.
During supper, a local Chiropractor gave an informative talk on managing your body when you are on the wrong side of 40. We were given many tips of keeping the body mobile with a full range of movement.
At the end of the night, I had an enjoyable dry ride home from the Mornington Peninsula on some of my favourite roads.
