VMMA Toy Donation to 'Connections' Monday 8th December 2008

It’s a couple of weeks before Christmas and four of the VMMA are out to bring joy to the kids of Melbourne.

On Monday 8th December the VMMA attended at the Connections Uniting Care facility in Croydon to make a donation of some 250 soft toys that had been hand crafted by ladies of one of Larry's Past Master 's groups and Johnno along with other VMMA members.
This group of ladies made the soft toys specifically for the VMMA to donate them to a worthy charitable organisation, they also made soft toys last year for the VMMA to donation.

Kirrilee Torney of Uniting Care "Connections" became our contact person, it was agreed that the VMMA would gather the soft toys for distribution amongst the local community for children and our senior members of the community as part of the Christmas Program.

At 10.30 a.m. Larry, Bob ,Jean and Dean met with Kirrilee ,Errin and Lewis at the Croydon "Connections" distribution house.
The trike with trailer in tow was filled with toys before departing Larry’s to donate them to the staff and volunteers at "Connections" in Croydon.
Last year "Connections" in Croydon donated 2000 Gifts and over 700 hampers to the local community.
