The VMMA was invited via Dave Hall on behalf of the host of the Open Night Powlett Lodge No. 661 to participate in the Open Night by providing a static display of our activities, this was achieved by a Rick, Chris, Dean, and Brian attending the evening along with a static display of images and information pamphlets.

Open Night at Wonthaggi Masonic Centre

Chris and Dean departed from Mooroolbark at 5.00 p.m. to meet with Brian at the Caltex on the corner of South Gippsland Hwy and Koo-wee-rup Road at the planned time of  6.20 p.m., amazing we actually all arrived at the designated time.

Arriving at the Wonthaggi Masonic Centre around 7.10 p.m. we were warmly welcomed by the local brethren, Dave Hall had already set-up the VMMA static display which enable us to relax and enjoy the hospitality of the Masonic Centre, leading up to 7.30 p.m. a good number of brethren and their invited friends also joined in  the hospitality of the Centre.

The G.L. representative for the evening was Alan Francis who was accompanied by Rhonda, it was a pleasure to catch up with Alan and Rhonda for it has been some 12 months since we have attended an Open Night that Alan has been the G.L representative.

Alan's presentation began on time in the lodge room with invited friends and associates of the local brethren, once again Alan's presentation was extremely informative in all aspects of Freemasonry.

On conclusion of Alan's presentation everyone was invited to partake in a light supper in the south, our static display attracted good attention with a number of questions being asked of our organisation and its relationship with Freemasonry Victoria, a number of Lodges also invited us to attend one of their regular meetings to enlighten the brethren of our activities within Freemasonry and the general community.

Finally it was time to depart home with Rick heading back to the Island and Chris, Dean and Brian riding back to Melbourne together.
