Report of Visit to Lodge Prospect No. 900
Thursday 20th September 2007
The W.M. Bro. Russell Medhurst of Prospect Lodge (and VMMA member) invited VMMA members to join with him on his last night at the Kew Masonic Centre.
W.M. Bro. Russell Medhurst addressing the south for the last time?
During Russell's (Salty's) term as W.M. the VMMA has attended Prospect Lodge a number of times to enlighten the brethren of our activities along with giving our support to a member in the chair.
The evening did not start very well for Chris with him leaving his phone at Garry Porters on the way to lodge and then running out of fuel 2 Klm's from home at 11.00 p.m. This had to be included in the report for Dean was witness to the running out of fuel and he came back in the car with Sharyn with the fuel can and funnel to only stand there in the middle of Maroondah Hwy laughing with Sharyn. To top it off the new Kawa 1400 was flashing low fuel when Chris left home but he continued to ride to Garry's at Heidelberg and then Kew and back to Mooroolbark, think Chris has got the message loud and clear that these new bikes sing and dance with all the gismo's and to take notice of warning messages and no fuel cells include in those gismo's.

Dean and Dave socialising in the South. Taxi eating, drinking & talking.
Chris, Dean, Dave and Taxi joined with Salty for his last night, we entered the lodge as members of the VMMA with a W.M., Taxi was formally introduced to Salty and sat in the East whilst the 3 amigos quietly sat in the body of the lodge. Work for the evening was the Obligation of Master Elect in the 2nd Degree along with a gavel presentation from the Maroondah District to Salty, this particular gavel was turned from red gum off the family property at Vermont owned once by his Grandfather and father.
Retiring to the south a number of brethren spoke of Salty's active involvement within Prospect Lodge, Maroondah District 115, Task Force, Lodge visitations and the VMMA.
Another great evening with friends.
