Report of VMMA Official Visit to Lodge Of Honour No. 799

The VMMA was invited to the initiation into the craft of VMMA member Lionel Lawrence who was proposed into the craft by Lodge Of Honour and VMMA member Mal Kidd.
What a turn out of VMMA members to Lionel's initiation.
The following members attended Bob, Dean, Chris, Rick 1, Rick 2, Dave, Grumpy, Garry, Dennis, Mal, Bill, Richo, Graham, Allan and our Patron M.W. Bro. John Wilson P.G.M. with members traveling from Moe, Phillip Island, Trafalgar and from various suburbs throughout Melbourne.

Once again we were made extremely welcome on our arrival at the Baxter Masonic Centre and met with many brethren who assisted the VMMA a year ago with the Annual CanTeen Ride by providing afternoon tea.
The lodge was opened in good time and we entered as members of the VMMA and after a welcoming address for the W.M. we quietly seated ourselves within the body of the lodge.
Those brethren who delivered the various charges spoke very clearly in particular the explanation given with the freedom of the lodge, after the initiation a short remembrance ceremony was conducted.
In the south VMMA newly elected Vice President Dean Lugton was dropped in it by President Chris to make his first visitors response, every picture tells a story.

Mal was given the opportunity to present in the south the various G.L. items to Lionel along with proposing the toast to Freemasonry Victoria's newest member finishing with a Scotch Fire, Lionel was then given a few moments to think about a response to brethren.
In the south the VMMA displayed information sheets and current Newsletter for those interested brethren.
Departing for home at 11.30 p.m. it was a cold 6 degree's and the bike seat was wet and cold but for those who had heated grips (Dean) I feel very sorry for him for he had to turn them down for they were to hot.
Another great night.
