Annual General Meeting
Saturday 13th August 2006
The V.M.M.A. held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 13th August 2006 at the North Melbourne Masonic Centre the meeting was very well attended, our Patron M. W. Bro. John Wilson P.G.M. and Lois were in attendance. It was good to see that those members unable to attend took the time to apologise and submit their proxy forms.
The meeting was opened by the President Brian Sanders who welcomed everyone in attendance and then the formalities took place controlled by our Secretary Pedro Eberbach, reports were received from the various office bears of the Association including an address by our Patron M. W. Bro. John Wilson P.G.M.
Prior to the break for lunch all office positions were declared vacant by the President Brian Sanders, election of office bears then took place with Chris Wells being elected President was invited to take the warn seat by Brian to continue with election the office bears.
A break was then taken for a BBQ lunch, thank you to the following members who collectively assisted with providing the BBQ lunch, Aldo Anguillesi who provided the bread and rolls free of charge (Bakers Delight, Reservoir), Eric for arranging the meat which was freshly made the day prior, Dean for transporting 2 BBQ's to North Melbourne along with traveling to Reservoir to pick up the bread and George for providing the Tea, Coffee and biscuits.

During the A.G.M. a motion was put that Matt Turner be recognised for his outstanding service to the V.M.M.A. Inc. from its inception, this motion was passed, Matt became the 2nd Life Member of the V.M.M.A. congratulations Matt and Jane. The first was of course our esteemed secretary Pedro.
The meeting continued with general business, newly elected President Chris addressed the members with the following items:
Newsletter, Fridge Events Calendar & Fridge Magnet
That Sponsorship is currently being sort to support the regular publication of a Newsletter, Fridge Events Calendar and a Fridge Magnet to attach the Events Calendar to the fridge.
Sponsorship being sort is:
Donation to cover the costs of producing a Fridge Magnet that will carry the VMMA Logo etc and the Sponsors Business Information.
Donations towards the production of a Regular Newsletter and the Events Calendar.
Recognition of those making Donations towards these productions will be via advertisement in or on the Regular Newsletter and the Events Calendar.
The first Newsletter and Events Calendar is planned for publication on the 1st September 2006.
Gary Porter has volunteered and been elected Newsletter Editor, he will require assistance from others.

Activities Officer for all V.M.M.A. Events Official or Social
Matt Turner is the Activities Officer, this is a new office position of which all V.M.M.A. Activities Masonic and Non-Masonic Activities must be submitted to the Activities Officer who will ensure that Event is appropriate along with ensuring the V.M.M.A. has the capabilities to fulfill the commitment to the activity.
Ride Co-ordinator
Eric Palant was elected Ride Co-ordinator and Mark Fulham his Assistant, they will work closely with the Activities Officer.
Charity, Fundraising & Social
It is proposed that the V.M.M.A. will have a number of Fundraising Activities during the year, they will be events that will allow members and non-members to participate in, along with having some fun such as:
A Poker Run for Motorcycle and Cars.
Treasure Hunt Motorcycle and Car fundraiser event.
Casey Hospital Show and Shine (Glen Fawkner)
Charity in the form of providing assistance is organisations will include but not limited to:
TLC week ride Saturday 4th Nov to Sunday 12 Nov. 2006 (Brian Sanders)
CanTeen Annual Motorcycle Ride Sunday 18th Feb 2007, Police Academy Glen Waverley. (Matt Turner)
Incorporate with the 65 Roses Ride to Phillip Island 9 – 10th December ride the Christmas Break-up Party to be held at Yarram on the 9th December 2006 along with a V.M.M.A. Toy Run on the Sunday for a Organisation yet to be determine in Yarram, Don Lowe is currently assisting with the V.M.M.A. with this event, more details to follow.
Social Events
It is planned to have a good number of day rides along with a Presidents ride sometime in February or March 2007 that will involve a ride commencing on a Thursday morning and concluding of the Sunday afternoon.

General Meetings
I propose to call a General Meeting every 3 months, these meetings will be held at various locations during the year.
Dates to be advised.
October 2006 in Bendigo, February 2007 in Gippsland, May 2007 in Melbourne and August 2007 A.G.M. Melbourne.
Merchandising
Merchandising of V.M.M.A. products has been very successful with a good range of products being offered, both Dean and Terri continue to seek other useful items to include in the products range.
District Representatives
The selection of District Representatives has been held in abeyance so that the Activities Officer and Ride Co-ordinator can evaluate the requirements in each District so that the V.M.M.A. can utilise its membership throughout Victoria in activities and events.
Finally General Business concluded with all those present having an opportunity to speak.
