The 1st meeting point was Lilydale Main Street in front of the Olinda Hotel at 10.00 a.m. for a 10.30 a.m. departure, what a great turn out we had for this social ride that include many new members and friends.
A total of 31 motorcycles participated in the social ride, Karma was out for her first solo ride on "L's" congratulations Karma you rode extremely well, Guy & Jennifer Richards were unable to attend but offered their motorcycle to Ian Goddard who had a great day due to the loan of the motorcycle, thank you Guy and Jennifer for your generosity.

We departed Lilydale around 10.45 a.m. for Healesville via Yarra Glen and Toolangi with Garry Buckland leading the ride, everyone was in good spirits and the ride up to Toolangi via Chum Creek and back to Healesville via the high road was enjoyed by everyone, including Karma who latter made comment the ride up to Toolangi made her ride through the Spur much easier.
On our arrival at the 2nd meeting point at Healesville we found Pedro, Bron and Red Baron and others waiting for us, cups of coffee and a warm-up and we were off to Marysville for lunch.

Destination of the ride, Marysville "In Neutral" Restaurant Lounge Bar.
A little rain was encountered turning from Narbethong onto the Marysville Road, but this was not heavy and became a shower only.
The lunch booking was made for 20, but the turn out of 31 motorcycles raised our numbers to 40 which did not cause the restaurant any problems at all, the big open fire was welcomed by many on entering the restaurant.

Everyone was served with drinks before lunches were ordered, the restaurant gave good atmosphere for a great social afternoon.

It was very encouraging to see both old and new faces turn out for this social event, riders traveled from Bendigo, Euroa, Frankston and many suburbs of Melbourne to participate in this Annual Social Ride to mark the Shortest Day of the Year.
Finally the day came to an end, with everyone departing and going their separate ways home.
