Visit To Lodge Of Honour No. 799

The V.M.M.A. visit to Lodge Of Honour had be organised for the purpose of seeking their support to the CanTeen Annual Motorcycle Ride Day in February 2005.

 

Five members of the V.M.M.A. turned out for the visit Matt, Chris, Drew, Murray and Dennis.

The W.M. of Lodge Of Honour W.Bro. Harry Grayson made us all very welcome on our arrival at the Baxter Masonic Centre along with all the other brethren.

V.M.M.A Representative W.Bro. Drew Webber, W.M. seeking support from Lodge Of Honour to assist with the Annual CanTeen Ride in February 2005.

The work for the evening was the Passing of Bro. James to the 2nd Degree, this was carried out by a Past Masters Team from Lodge Of Honour, there was also a Vacant Chair Ceremony and the Presentation of a Master Mason's Certificate.

By the time we adjourned to the South the evening was getting on.

 

W.Bro. Drew Webber, W.M. of Mornington Lodge was invited by the W.M. Bro. Harry to address the brethren of Lodge Of Honour in relation to the assistance the V.M.M.A. was seeking with the Annual CanTeen Motorcycle Ride to HMAS CERBERUS in February 2005.

 

Drew explained the limitation of distance each section of the ride can be due to the CanTeen Members requirements for medication and rest, this limitation see's the CanTeen Ride on the return leg back to the Royal Children's Hospital at Baxter around 3.00 p.m.

It was explained that the V.M.M.A. has always invited Victorian Freemason's Lodges to assist with morning and afternoon teas for this Annual Event at ZERO Budget and that the V.M.M.A.  was seeking the support of Lodge Of Honour to assist by providing the afternoon tea at the Baxter Masonic Centre.

 

V.M.M.A. members once again had a good exchange of Masonic Items in the South with both Matt & Drew picking up well.

W.Bro. Harry Grayson, W.M. responded to the invitation to assist and indicated that he fully supported the request  and believed after discussion within Lodge Of Honour that this support would be acknowledged formally.

 

The visitors response  was from V.M.M.A. member W.Bro. Chris Wells, W.M. of Healesville Lodge who congratulated Lodge Of Honour for having a large number of visiting brethren to join with Bro. James on his Passing to the Degree of a Fellow Craft Freemason.

Who has Chris got lined up here!!!!! 

We departed the Baxter Masonic Centre around 11.30 p.m. for the motorcycle rides to various suburbs of Melbourne.
