Installation by the V.M.M.A. Inc. Installation Team

Bro. Chris Wells, Master Elect of Healesville Lodge and a member of the V.M.M.A., invited the V.M.M.A. Installation Team to Install him on Saturday 2nd April 2005 at the Lilydale Masonic Centre.

The Installation date required changing to a Saturday for members of the V.M.M.A. Installation Team live throughout Victoria, the team arrived at the Lilydale Masonic Centre around 12.00 p.m. for a light lunch prior to their last rehearsal commencing at 1.00 p.m.

The final rehearsal was well attended and carried through to 4.00 p.m., by this time other V.M.M.A. members started to roll into the Centre.

Sharyn and Gail assisted during the rehearsal time by taking the V.M.M.A. partners for a trip to the Antique Shops in Yarra Glen and Healesville, before returning around 5.00 p.m. to join with our V.M.M.A. partners who then departed down Lilydale main street to the crown Hotel for a counter tea and good social.

At 5.00 p.m. it was time for the Installation team to get changed into their approved Lodge Room attire, as at Mansfield Lodge last November there was certainly a buzz in the changing rooms. There was an air of confidence, for the V.M.M.A. Installation Team had perform the Installation Ceremony once before and that was well performed.

The V.M.M.A. general members entered the Lodge Room as individuals with other visiting brethren in the 1st degree, V.M.M.A Installation Team entered last in the 3rd degree and were presented in globo and seated in the East.

The Ceremony of Installation was performed well, once again the response was favorable from those present to the floor work of this Installation Team that has limited opportunity to rehearse as a group.

Tyling at 5.30 p.m. and having the Obligation in the 2nd degree carried out at the previous regular meeting enabled the Installation Ceremony and presentation of the I.P.M's Perpetual Jewel to be completed by 8.20 p.m.

The South was kept moving along by the Proclaiming Officer, the usual toasts were carried out with W.Bro. Erwin Schweitzer proposing the Toast to W.M. Bro. Chris Wells, the W.M. responded to Erwin's comments, also David (Chris's brother) inquire who wrote the script for if he was asked for input it may have read some what different.

The W.M. was joined by Sharyn during this time in the south, Chris acknowledged the many attendees of his installation of which some were personal friends, other friendships that have developed during his time in the Craft and last but not least the V.M.M.A. for their support and friendship.

W.M. also made comment that Sharyn was in attendance to support him personally, not as a partner who undertakes catering etc.

After the “game of chance” the Tylers Toast took place at 9.45 p.m. and those whom had some distance to travel departed, whilst other continued to socialize.
